Romanticizing Bach

Richard Cionco demonstrates how Alexander Soloti, student of Liszt and teacher of Rachmaninoff, turned a Bach harpsichord piece on its head and produced a very different piano piece.

In the audio player, you can hear Cionco play the piece in a live performance. Cionco is a music professor at California State University, Sacramento and a key member of the Musiqbase advisory board.
